The Search Works appoints Nick Lane as Sales Director

 

The Search Works, the digital performance marketing company and the UK’s largest search specialist, has appointed Nick Lane as the agency’s sales director. Lane will be responsible for pursuing opportunities in new markets, identifying profitable verticals and bringing on board iconic brands to strengthen the company’s portfolio.

Ultimately Lane is tasked with growing The Search Works' leadership margin; he will be working with the account teams to identify the most profitable vertical markets and growth sectors. He will also develop a close relationship with the newly formed European team to share leads and exchange opportunities.

Commenting on Nick's appointment, interim MD Chris Simpson said: "We're delighted to have Nick on board. His sales management and business development experience set him apart from other candidates. We're confident that his arrival will mark the expansion of our new business pipeline and increase in pitch conversion."

 

Before his appointment at The Search Works, Nick held a series of senior sales management roles at information company The Thomson Corporation. Most recently he was VP of sales for Thomson Business Intelligence, which saw him managing new business sales activities with clients in over 100 countries.
