The Search Works chooses Germany to launch first international product, offices and staff
The Search Works, Europe´s leading search engine marketing company, has chosen Germany as its first target for growth across continental Europe. Launched by German account director Andreas Vogt, the company officially introduced its world-renowned search marketing services to the German market today, marking the first time that such services have been made available in German, or indeed in any language besides English. Based in Munich, the company has already built a solid base of German customer launch partners, including Hurra, Gmapps and Adpepper.
The Search Works has enjoyed successful growth since its inception in 1999, becoming Europe´s largest search engine marketer and managing search campaigns for over 50 leading agencies and advertisers, including several pan-European clients. Formerly known as WSPS, The Search Works developed the world´s first SEM software, the BidBuddy® Suite of fully-automated keyword bid management technologies, which is now in use across the globe. The company has been operating German SEM business from its headquarters in London for some time and its new, permanent presence in Germany is a reflection of the growth in German client base it has seen. The Search Works believes its hugely-experienced team (boasting more than 100 years´ active practice in SEM) can help German advertisers reap the benefits that paid search can bring.
The Search Works prides itself on its unparalleled team of pioneering search marketers with specific knowledge of the German market; its CEO, Nick Hynes, is already a key figure in the German online search industry. As founder of Overture Europe, he introduced search marketing to Germany, launching Overture Deutschland in 2002 as the world´s first non-English language paid search marketing service. Hynes built up an impressive SEM network that boasted T-online, GMX, Web.de, MSN.de, AOL.de, Freenet and Lycos Europe among its members. He is keen to repeat this successful track record of expansion for The Search Works, first in Germany and subsequently in France later this year.
Andreas Vogt will lead the German expansion. Vogt is a consummate SEM professional, having worked for two years in a large German SEM organisation. He has previously held a number of senior marketing positions and is now keen to drive The Search Works forward to become Germany´s number one search engine marketing company.
Commenting on the launch, Hynes concluded: "SEM is the most cost-effective form of advertising in history. No other media comes close in terms of the ease with which marketing spend can be tracked. Germany boasts the largest online economy in Europe and is thus the most fitting site for SEM´s most prominent and innovative agency to stage its pan-European expansion."
