We are an entirely independent company working in partnership with all of the world's leading search engines and have been identified by The Sunday Times TechTrack Top 100 as one of the most successful and fastest growing technology companies in the UK.

A potted history
1999: The Search Works is launched as WSPS.

September 2000: We are the first search engine optimisation company to work with GoTo (now Overture) and Espotting (now Miva) on their launches into the UK market. Our service included visitor tracking to identify search engine source and keywords to guarantee the quality of traffic generated.

March 2001: The Search Works launches the world's first automated PPC bid management service, BidBuddy.

2002: We are accredited as a trusted partner by Overture and Espotting.

2004: Staff levels reach 45 and include the arrival of CEO Nick Hynes, COO Jim Brigden and CFO Stephen Rust.

February 2005: After 5 years as WSPS, we re-brand as The Search Works.

August 2005: We move to new premises in Soho, having outgrown our base in Covent Garden.

December 2005: Staff levels continue to increase reaching 65 by end of year.

March 2006: Sister company, The Technology Works is launched.

June 2006: The Search Works is named as the UK's largest search specialist in the NMA Marketing Services Guide.

May 2007: We come top in the NMA Marketing Services Guide for the second year running.

July 2007: The Search Works is acquired by TradeDoubler.
